Herold Engineering Limited is a Vancouver Island based civil and structural consulting engineering company with a current staff level of 70 employees. Herold Engineering works throughout the Province on a wide variety of building, marine, transportation and municipal infrastructure projects for a wide variety of public, private and First Nations Communities.

Mike Herold is the President of Herold Engineering and is very passionate about working with Aboriginal groups and understanding past history and their expectations for the future.

Mike is currently a founding Board Member of the Nanaimo Aboriginal Centre, he donates his time providing structural engineering services with the Write to Read program for Learning Resource Centres for First Nations Communities throughout the Province and is a past member of Community Action Initiatives (CAI) which is a Vancouver based non-profit organization with a mandate of funding organizations (30% First Nation) with non-clinical programs for dealing with Mental Illness and Substance Abuse in our Communities. Mike has also taken an online course in Indigenous Cultural Competency.
